Is An Independent Vote A Wasted Vote?
For all of my life I have heard, "don't waste your vote voting independent." Here are some reasons why a vote for the Independent candidate is not a wasted vote.
- A Party line vote is a vote for a divided America – a "red" or a "blue" America – as if there were such a thing. A VOTE FOR A DIVIDED AMERICA IS TRULY A WASTED VOTE!
- As an independent I can and will represent all of the voters of Central Washington and I will place your best interest ahead of any party or faction.
- The new election law in Washington State that provides for a "TOP TWO" run-off vote in November makes voting Independent the best vote because AN INDEPENDENT CAN WIN IN NOVEMBER and, as an Independent, can represent all of the constituencies of Central Washington. With the old election system it was more difficult for an independent to win, but now an independent can WIN - WITH YOUR SUPPORT!
- Your independent Vote is not a wasted vote
- DON'T WASTE YOUR VOTE VOTING FOR THE DISFUNCTIONAL POLITICS OF TODAY.
A vote for the Republican or the Democrat is a wasted vote because:
- A vote for a party politician is a vote for partial representation of the issues that are important to Central Washington
- A Republican represents only some of the Republicans. Doc Hastings doesn't represent the "Ron Paul" Republicans and he certainly doesn't represent conservative values of smaller government and balanced budgets. He has voted a straight Republican Party vote more than 90% of the time.
- A Democrat represents only some of the Democrats. Will it be the "Obama" Democrats, the "Pelosi" Democrats, the "Hilary Clinton" Democrats, or maybe the "Ben Nelson" Democrats (Nebraskan Democrats are more important than Washington Democrats). The Democratic candidate won't represent those who want a smaller more efficient government that emphasizes personal responsibility and the values of small businesses.
- A Party line vote is a vote for continued partisan politics in Washington
- A vote for either the Democrat candidate or for the Republican candidate is a vote for the status quo. A vote to continue the broken policies of Washington D.C. politics as they are now. THAT IS A WASTED VOTE!
